Sensei Bill has been practicing Jiu Jitsu for many years now and is the founder of Blue Jiu Jitsu. He was originally taught by his Sensei in Eastern Ontario who had a background in Jiu Jitsu and Judo. Over the years Bill’s style has incorporated what he believes is the best of every aspect of fighting. Boxing techniques, kick boxing, wrestling takedowns, Judo style trows and BJJ style grappling have all excelled in their style. It only made sense to incorporate the best that each one had to offer.

Sensei Steve has been practicing martial arts for several years now and is one of Blue Jiu Jitsu’s black belts. Sensei Steve is Blue Jiu Jitsu’s version of a drill sergeant. He can be heard across the mat yelling and pushing others to achieve their best. Sensei Steve is a wonderful kids instructor due to his humorous side which kids gravitate towards. Over the years, Sensei Steve’s outstanding attendance has proven his dedication and love to martial arts. Sensei Steve has taken on the responsibility of overseeing the grading process for Blue Jiu Jitsu. He also has become one of the cornerstones of Blue Jiu Jitsu over the years and we are very lucky to count him amongst our membership. Steve is also the one who started the Blue Kali program.

Sensei Tyler has been practicing Jiu Jitsu for many years now. In fact he was Blue Jiu Jitsu’s first student. Sensei Tyler has a large presence both in physical size and in personality. When it comes to grappling and stand up Jiu Jitsu, he is the largest Uke in Blue Jiu Jitsu’s arsenal. Sensei Tyler is somewhat of a big teddy bear. He’s not only good with the kids but has the patience with new students as well. Sensei Tyler is yet another corner stone of Blue Jiu Jitsu’s foundation and we are lucky to have him on our mat and on our side. One last note to remember, just don’t poke the bear….

Sensei Jeff is our most recent black belt at Blue JJ. He is also the most technical of all of us. Sensei Jeff analyzes every move ensuring that all energy is gained when applying a technique. Sensei Jeff is the one who is currently running the Sunday Program of Blue Jiu Jitsu. We’d like to thank him for all his hard work in this aspect and look forward to the direction that he steers our great club.

Sensei Al has been practicing Jiu Jitsu for over 6.5 years and has a black belt in the art. He is Blue JJ’s newest Black Belt. Over the last 6 years his skill level has improved vastly. Sensei Al is also the one trying to complete the “Index Project” for the club. We’d like to thank him for all his dedication in this aspect and look forward to where he helps lead Blue JJ.

Sensei Bob has been practicing martial arts since before humans landed on the moon. He’s a cornerstone to our martial arts program with a wide diverse skill knowledge. For all those who know Sensei Bob, they know him as intense. This intensity is strived for by many. Sensei Bob was instrumental in Blue Jiu Jitsu’s current way of thinking to take the best from each martial art and incorporate it in our training. If you’re lucky enough to have Sensei Bob on the mat as an instructor, listen up and soak up all that you can from this master.
